Leadership

The Rev. Suzanne Wade likes to say she was raised in the Congregational Church, gave her life to Jesus in the American Baptist Church, and found her spiritual home
in the Episcopal Church. Born in Saugus, Mass., she was baptized at Cliftondale Congregational Church, where her large extended family of grandparents, parents, a
sister, aunts, uncles, and cousins made church-going a family affair. Growing up, she also spent many Sunday nights at youth group at her best friend’s American Baptist
Church, where she answered an altar call at age 13.

Suzanne and her husband, Rich, began attending the Episcopal church just four blocks from their new home in Mansfield shortly before the birth of their first child.
They immediately felt at home, and in 2007 Suzanne was admitted to the ordination process in the Episcopal Diocese of Massachusetts. She was ordained a deacon in
June 2011, and to the priesthood in January 2012. Suzanne was appointed deacon and then priest-in-charge of St. Mark’s Episcopal Church in Westford after
ordination and was called as the church’s rector in 2014.
In 2020, Suzanne helped launch a collaboration between St. Mark’s and Trinity Chapel in Shirley and served as priest-in-charge in Shirley and rector at St. Mark’s
until 2023. In 2023, she accepted a call as rector to Trinity Episcopal Church in Bridgewater in order to be closer to her husband’s parents, who she helped care for
until they passed away in 2025.

Suzanne and her husband, Rich, have been married for 35 years and make their home in Mansfield, Mass.
