In 2024, several hurricanes devastated areas of our country. Trinity joined the Episcopal Relief effort with a generous donation of $25,000 from the reserve funds. This is an excerpt from their newsletter:

Thanks to the generous support from so many supporters, our relief work in the aftermath of Hurricanes Helene and Milton continues. As always, we focus our efforts in communities that might otherwise be overlooked.

We provided assistance to a rural family near Arcadia in Southwest Florida to repair and replace outbuildings that housed their animals and that weren't covered by insurance payments. The family had been trying unsuccessfully to put aside money to address the need, and they were becoming increasingly discouraged and hopeless. They said that assistance from Episcopal Relief & Development gave them a renewed spirit and the sense that, "God heard our prayers."

In Western North Carolina, we began working with the community to repair homes for families who were impacted by Hurricane Helene. Our efforts are concentrated on people who received no other support. In the coming months, we will continue with the long-term recovery.

In addition to working with church partners in Florida and North Carolina, we're also partnering with the dioceses in Georgia and Tennessee.
